As winter approaches, it’s critical to adjust your brick installation practices according to the weather conditions. Here is a handy reference for successful brick installation in cold weather!
Notes:
• All materials, including masonry units and sand, should be kept covered to prevent wetting and freezing.
• Do not place mortar on frozen, snow covered surfaces.
• If accelerators are used, do not use calcium chloride of products that contain chlorides. Here is an important bulletin about AdMixtures.
• In general, all mortar should be kept from freezing for 24 hours.
