Our Christmas Spirit is in Full Swing!
Life, here at General Shale, isn’t always about brick and building stone! At this special time of year, we’re delighted to participate in charitable events that support those in need around the world and in our own community. This season, we’ve been busy with Operation Christmas Child and a local pet adoption drive!
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
You may have heard about Operation Christmas Child – it’s the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind and has been organized by Samaritan’s Purse since 1993. This charitable activity provides gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries and territories.
At General Shale, we’ve participated in Operation Christmas Child for several years. In November, we packed 90 boxes for children in need!

WASHINGTON COUNTY TN ANIMAL SHELTER – PET ADOPTION DRIVE
When our neighbors at the Washington County TN Animal Shelter planned their new construction, we were happy to provide concrete block, brick and building stone for their fantastic new facility. So, again this season, we joined forces with our friends at the shelter, The Humane Society of Washington County, WJHL, and Friendship Ford (Bristol, TN) in the annual pet adoption drive!
Through support from General Shale and these important partners, adoption fees (including spay/neutering services) were only $35 and over 70 pets have a new home this Christmas! And as a thank-you for donations to the animal shelter, we offered a voucher for 20% off General Shale Outdoor Living products!
